Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway!

Winner: Rita Spratlen!  Congratulations!

Around our house, we go through tons of cartons and cans.  MillerBug drinks almost a half gallon of milk every two days and those pesky cartons add up quicly!  Add to that the hubs obsession with Mountain Dew and there are days when I feel like the containers are taking over my kitchen!  We do have a recycling bin outside but it’s not always convenient to stop what I’m doing, grab up the baby and head outside to put things into the recycling bin.  And now I don’t have to!  Because with Rubbermaid’s new Hidden Recycler, I can quickly and easily get recyclables off the counter, out of sight and take them all out at once in an easy to carry bag!  Wow!

So, how does this work?  Well, I was pretty curious about that myself in the beginning.  So here’s the breakdown.  You put together the hidden recycler and mount it on hooks or screws on the inside of your cabinet.  Choose the place that is most convenient for you.  For us, it’s under the cabinets right next to the fridge.

The hidden recycler fits perfectly into our cabinet so that it can open and close easily.  It boasts the following features:

—————————————————-

– 5 Gallon Bag that hols up to 36 12 ounce cans and can fit a milk jug

– Leak proof liner that is machine washable

– Soft sided bag which allows flexibility to fit inside cabinets

– Bag and packaging is made from recyclable material

——————————————————–

So, all we have to do now is open the cabinet, raise the lid and toss our recyclables in!

No more opening the door and heading outside to the recycling bin every time we have something that needs to go into it.  Then, when it’s full, we simply detach the bag from the hanger and carry it outside to be emptied into the big bin!

It’s quick, easy, mess free and super convenient!  We love the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycle bin and I’m betting your family will too!  And that’s why one of my lucky readers is going to have the chance to win one of their very own!

Entry is super easy thanks to Rafflecopter.  Just use the form below!

would love this. We do not have garbage pickup where we live so we recyle all of our items and have to take them to the recycling centers on our own, so this would make it so much easier.

  2. Jeannette Laframboise says

I would love to have this product because presently I use a nasty beat-up old laundry basket that is nothing but an eye-sore…Thanks so much for the chance to win!

Left a comment on your wonderful breakfast recipe. Also how do you stumble something like this. It’s something I can do just fine trying to walk across the room but…

  4. Maegan Morin says

because we always rinse our bottles before they go in the bag in the porch and this would be great to carry them and store them until then

  5. Vesper says

It would be great to win so that once we have any empty bottles we can just put them in this bag and then carry them to our shed to store

  6. gibberish (Julie G.) says

Our recycling program has very large wheelie bins for each household. They are the size of about two garbage cans stacked one atop the other. Our collection day is once every two weeks. That being said, our bin lives in the garage & I make multiple trips each day out to the garage with my recycling to add to the wheelie bin. If I had this Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler, I could keep it in the house & reduce the number of trips I make to the big bin!

  7. Karla Sceviour says

I would love to win this because we recycle all the time and I always have nothing to do with all the bottles, juice packs,cans,etc..this would be a great thing to have in my home.

  10. Tammy S says

I would love to have this because we do a ton of recycling and only have trash pick up every other week. I would love to have this out of the way recycle bin over our current one. :)

  11. Carmen S. says

I currently just use a paperbag for my recycling, would love to have something nice to put recycling into :)

  12. Cheri Dougherty says

I would love the hidden recycler because I could store my recyclables in a place that doesn’t take up room in the kitchen. Also, it looks really cool.

  13. Tina F says

I do not have a proper nice looking recycler in my kitchen that will suit it This would look great in my kitchen as we recylcle everything

Our 2.5 yr old is into everything and this would help keep our recyclables out of sight.
    Thanks!

  18. Emily says

We have started recycling more & this would make it so much easier if we had something that attaches to our cupboard door.

  19. Kari says

This is awesome! I hate having all my recyclables sit on the counter/on the floor next to my garbage can, this would make my kitchen so much tidier!

  20. melissa williams says

i would love this, because our current recycling bin just broke and we are looking out for a new one that does it’s job, but doesn’t take up too much space.

  21. Ro'Chele A says

In our house, we either have an endless pile of recyclables atop the refrigerator or we have a messy porch due to the wind always knocking over the recycling bin. This is perfect!

  22. Amy Bailey says

This would really help me stay more organizes. My bottles lay all over my basement right now… :S

  23. Melissa says

We never have enough space to put our recycling and it takes over the kitchen! This would help keep it from taking over the kitchen :)

  24. Jessica B says

It would be more environmentally friendly than repeatedly using and then throwing away trash bags for my recycling.

  25. Jude Skocki Kelly says

I do not have a receptacle in my home for recycles. Now they gather on the counter until someone (me) brings them outside to the can. This would make my counter usable again

  26. Amanda Alvarado says

We don’t have a lot of room in our kitchen and definitely not enough to keep bins for recycling so we don’t recycle as much as we should. This would help us be able to recycle a lot more than what we are!

  27. Traci Lynn Butler says

I would love to have this recycle bin because right now our crushed cans are in a plastic bag in one of our kitchen chairs :p

  28. says

Like you we go through a lot of cans/milk jugs. And paper – oh the paper! it flocks to our door and I recycle everything we possibly can. This would be ideal to help keep it tidy in the kitchen and easy to bring out to our bigger recycling bins in the garage when it fills up.

  29. clynsg says

I really need this because right now the recyclables sit on the counter until someone (almost always me!) takes them to the garage!

  30. Shara F. says

Sinc we moved I have seriously dropped the ball on recycling. I love the idea of this as it helps with a major issue we had in the lack of convenience.

  31. tamar says

Right now, we throw our recyclables by the front door. Not really the best way to do it. It’s very disorganized. This would help.

  32. Kaylee Oliver says

We just started recycling, (Well, really I just did. Still trying to get the hubby on board) and I need something to make it little easier. :)

  33. Dawn Reid says

This would be great to take the place of the ugly old basket I have been using. What a great product.

  34. Lisa L says

This would be nice to have so I can hide the stuff I need to recycle. Right now we have a bin but its in the kitchen where everyone can see it

  35. Michelle Tucker says

Right now we are using old popcorn tins to hold our recycling. I’d like something out of the way. Thanks!

to recycle our trash and I am trying to teach my children to do it too.
