Making Learning Come to Life with Cypher Kids Club Interactive Cards! #CypherKidsClub #CBias

The holidays are quickly approaching, which for me means lots of free time for the boys.  They will be out of school and even though they will be enjoying their break, I don’t want them to stop learning!  But if you have kids that are like mine, learning is the last thing they want to do…unless you find a way to make it fun!  So, that was what I wanted to do!  I wanted to find a way to make learning something that they boys could not get enough of.  Something that grabbed their attention and just would not let them go!  And so, determined to find a new way to learn over the holidays, we headed off to Target to see what we could find!

Now, since both of the boys fight over who gets to use the iPad and iPhone right now, I though it might be a good idea to find something that was compatible.  I mean, since they were already excited about these devices that are pretty new to our home, I wanted to use that to encourage their excitement about learning.  So, we headed back to the electronics department to see what App Accessories we could find to make learning fun!

And right there, at the very top of the shelf, were interactive learning cards that would really make learning come to life!  The Cypher Kids Club Interactive Cards were created to work with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad to turn learning into a truly hands on experience.   They require iOS 5.0 or later but since both our devices are fairly new, it was perfect for us!

So why did we instantly know they were perfect?  Because the Cypher Kids Cards were Augmented Reality Cards that let the learning burst out of the screen of your iPad or iPhone to make it an experience that was truly amazing!  With three different varieties – wild animals, numbers and letters – there was something to interest both of my boys!  And while they looked great, I was super curious to see how they worked.  So, I stood there and debated.  I knew the wild animals would be perfect for J-Man since he is older.  But we’re also working so hard to start MillerBug on his numbers and letters.  Finally, I decided that we would test out all three!  After all, these were cards that we could get some great use out of with J-Man now and with MillerBug as he gets older!  So we added them to our cart and headed to the checkout, excited about our purchase!

Once we got home, J-Man was chomping at the bit to see how they worked!  You see, he’s a little bit tech savvy and he loves to try new things.  I was so excited to see him so excited about learning that I opened up the first box right away and downloaded the app onto my iPad.  There were two easy ways to download the app.  You could either get it by scanning the code on your box or your could search for it in the app store.

Once I had the Cypher Entertainment app for the cards downloaded onto my iPad and iPhone, we were ready to see how much fun learning really could be!

I was amazed at how easy the Cypher Kids Cards were to use!  All we had to do was open the app, choose the card that we wanted to learn more about and then hold it under our camera.  Instantly, the screen would come alive with an animal, a number or a letter!

Each set of cards had different things that it focused on to make each card a true learning experience.  The wild animal cards told you about what the animals ate, noises they made and their sleep patterns.  The letter cards gave you words that started with the letter of your choice and told you how the letter sounded and showed you how upper case and lower case letters looked.  And the numbers cards allowed you to count numbers from 1 to 20 and taught basic counting skills.  All the cards were so much fun and really took learning to a new level!  Our favorite was the wild animals just because it was amazing to see them pop through your screen and truly come to life in front of you!  And with the 3D technology, you could move your device to truly see what the animal, number or letter looked like.

The ability of the cards to make the learning literally pop up before your eyes was completely amazing to both of my boys.  They just could not believe that the images literally came off the card and into the room!

Both of the kids were instantly enthralled with the cards and couldn’t wait to try the next one and learn more.  It was exactly what I had hoped for to encourage learning over the holiday break!  In fact, we had so much fun with the cards, that J-Man wanted to make a little video because really, pictures just don’t do justice to how awesome these cards are!  So, check out J-Man and I showing you how these cards work and hear first hand from him what he thinks about them!

Our entire family has been super impressed with Cypher Kids Cards and I’m thrilled that they have made learning truly fun!  They would be a fabulous Christmas present for the little guy or gal in your life – to bring letters, numbers and animals to life in a way that makes them fun and fabulous!  If you’re just dying to get your hands on some (which I know you are) you can pick them up at select Target stores now!  So be sure to add them to you Black Friday shopping list!
