  6. Holly Manthey says:

I have been wanting a kindle for a long time, but it is NOT in our finances. My husband is in full time grad school, and I am a homeschool mom, so money is pretty tight. This would be awesome to have, especially as we travel for the holidays! Thanks for the opportunity!

  7. First and formost, thank you to Andrea Pearson for providing this giveaway.

I would love to win this Kindle! I received a Kindle Fire for my birthday last year and my boyfriend really wants one now. Money has been pretty tight this year(had to get a root canal and my dental doesn’t cover about $1000 of it). I don’t make a lot and using coupons basically keeps me from using my high percentage credit card. If I don’t find presents throughout the year (on sale) for Christmas I usually can’t afford them at all. Last year I got a bonus from my boss, so I was able to get my boyfriend a nice gift.

I don’t want a pity party and I am totally not looking for sympathy, as I know everyone is going through a tough time right now, but this would be an amazing gift for my guy and I would love to see his face on Christmas morning when he opened it. He knows I am going to have no money to spend on Christmas this year, so it would totally shock him if I gave him something like this that I know he wants!

    Thank you for the opportunity.

  8. I would love to have a Kindle since we travel a lot and it would be much easier than taking books along. Also it can be hard to keep books in good condition when traveling. I love to read and this would make it a lot easier especially since we live overseas right now so I don’t have many books here since they are heavy to ship and it’s hard to find books that are written in English here. I appreciate all the sponsors that are making this giveaway possible.

  9. First off, THANK YOU Andrea for providing such an awesome prize! This Kindle would definitely be used a lot at my house of readers! We have so many bookshelves right now full of books. It’d be nice to have a way to read books without overcrowding the house with them.

  10. Karen Rennirt says:

Thank you to Andrea Pearson and The Adventures of J-Man and Millerbug for having this giveaway. Without these giveaways alot of us wouldn’t have the money to buy some of these items for our loved ones at Christmas. Me, I have 3 daughters in college and this would be great to win. Two of them have been asking for one to put their college books on. And since they have some of the same classes I would only have to purchase the book once for both of them. Thanks again for all the great giveaways.

I would love to share this kindle with my son! Nicolas is in 4th grade and struggles with reading. I try and try to find a way to make reading fun, every night is a fight! I am a single Mom and can never seem to afford these awesome technologies thingies. :) I would love to let Nicolas use this Kindle to help to get him more interested in reading. He can find some sports books that interest him, or really anything that will keep him reading! I think this would be much more awesome than just grabbing an old book that he loses interest in within 2 minutes. Plus this will give us a reason to cuddle before bed more! I would love this, this would make Christmas that much better! :) Thanks for the awesome giveaways … now lets just win something!!

  12. Mbey son is a cancer patient at MD Anderson and he relapsed this September, so we have been spending a lot of time in-patient at the hospital. We spent 54 consecutive days in the hospital recently, and we will be returning soon for his next round of chemotherapy. A Kindle would be a great distraction while we are stuck in the hospital, and it would save me from packing a stack of books every time we are admitted.

  13. Brandy Spring says:

I’d like to give this as a christmas gift for my husband this year. He’d be soooooo happy.

A huge thanks to Andrea Pearson and all of the wonderful bloggers who put so much time and effort into providing us readers with amazing giveaways. Ever since I discovered bloggers, I now save tons of money by using coupons, I learn about great deals on products, get introduced to all kinds of new sites and have won some fantastic prizes – things I could never have got without all of you. So thank you. I’ve never had an e-reader but they sound fantastic. My sister says they are great and I hope to own one someday. I think the best thing is the space issue with books. I have a small house and no room and my books take up a large % of my free space. A kindle might solve that problem!

  15. Donna Karanas says:

I would love to win this for my son! Although he cannot read yet, he has already expressed a great interest in reading! Although he has a collection of books, the kindle will allow him to read about many more adventures! This would be an awesome Christmas present for him to be able to grow up reading!

  16. I’d love a Kindle to use with my 8 yr old who is on the Autism Spectrum. We do a lot of traveling for Dr.’s appointments and he loves to read and I think this would be a great little “tool” to have in our arsenal while on our road trips. I used to have a Nook but ended up getting rid of it and have been wanting to replace it with the Kindle. I appreciate the bloggers and sponsors who so graciously donate their time, efforts, goods, etc to offer these giveaways to the public!

Thank you Andrea Pearson for a chance to get a Kindle. This would be wonderful to have for when My family and I travel 1000 miles to visit my side of the family at Christmas time. It would be easier to store and transport books to read to my son. Cuddling and Reading with my son is always a great way to spend a chilly day.

  20. I would LOVE to give this to my niece for Christmas because she loves to read. She deserves it too because she works very hard in school and plays basketball and softball and is a good sport about it too.

  21. I would give this to my 13 year-old grand daughter. She plays volleyball, golf, and softball. She has an A average in school. She loves to read and would really enjot this. If any person deserves it, Nattie does. I’m grateful for the chance to win.

  22. Annette D says:

I would love to win this for my sister-in-law. She loves to read and this would be the perfect gift for her for Christmas!

  23. april yedinak says:

This is a great giveaway! Thanks!. I would love to have a Kindle because I go through books like crazy and it would be so much easier to store books on this device as opposed to the stacks always all over my house. On top of that, I would really like to start getting a lot of free/ cheap e-books to read.

  24. Thanks for the chance to win a Kindle. I love to read and have always wanted one.

  25. i would love to win a kindle since i’m saving up for one. but it would also help with the reviewing i do and i wouldn’t have to have huge huge piles of books around.

  27. In Michigan I read a lot of books in the winter months-I go from gardening and outdoor work to crafting and reading. A kindle fire would be so nice to have to read books with-never lose my page again!

  28. hope i win…

  29. I would like to thank Andrea Pearson for providing this giveaway! If I won I would use anywhere I wanted and have some quiet time to do some reading and have some alone time. It would be so nice to have this reader and not have to worry about purchasing hard copies of books and having more clutter!

  30. Joni Owada says:

We live in a very cold climate and it is almost ready to snow already. We have 4 children and the library is very far away. I want them to love reading as much as I do and I know that having this would help them read and would be so helpful for us! I love that there is no dust and it is lit so that one can read at night without bothering others. I know whomever wins this, will be really happy with it!!!

  31. The other great thing about a Kindle, when you’re traveling and you’ve got a dozen books to read, loading them all onto a Kindle is far less space and weight than having to carry 12 separate paperbacks. Not that I know this firsthand, but it’s what I’ve been told by book-loving Kindle-owning friends. I’d love to win one for all the reasons you stated plus this additional one. Thanks for the giveaway!

  32. Leah Smitham says:

I love reading and my bedside table is about to tip over. I would love to condense all my books into one dandy little machine. Less space taken up and very portable. The screen looks just like a book meaning it won’t hurt your eyes like a computer screen. I’d love to win this!!!!

  33. I love to read! I stopped reading during college and have recently rediscovered the joy of reading an awesome book. Thanks for the giveaway!

These are kids that live in dire poverty and don’t have much access to books.

I live with my huband, daughter and her two children. My daughter home schools her kids and has not been able to find a job in the last 5 years. She spends so much time teaching her kids and finding ways to save money and live on such a tight budget, that it would never occur to her to spend any money on herself that may make her life easier.

I would love to win a Kindle so that I could give it to her. Having something like this would be such a wonderful gift that she could use for herself and even her children for school. She stresses about trying to get to the library because of the cost of fuel, and to have something like this where she would not have to travel and could have a larger collection of books available for her kids to read, would truly be a God-send. Plus, since I could give her gift cards to Amazon.com as presents for her birthday and Christmas and that works for all of us. The 5-extra books are the cherry on the sundae of this giveaway :)

This is an awesome giveaway and I love that there are bloggers out there, like Andrea, who think up and provide such great opportunities for us. Thanks for reading this and good luck to everyone!

  38. We homeschool and I think my son would think it was extra special to read books on a Kindle. And it would be nice to join the eReader revolution and start using it to read some of the stuff I read, too.

  39. I’ve been reading ebooks for a long time–started on a Palm device years ago! But the Kindle would bring me up to date, and I’d really love to be able to download not only from Amazon, but also from my local library. And since I *never* leave home without at least 1 book in my bag, my back would be very grateful too! Thanks so much for the giveaway.

  40. i would love to give this kindle to my sister. she just loves to read and this would be a special gift to give her. thanks for the awesome giveaway& chance!

I work crazy 18 hour shifts where I have lots of down time but I need to stay awake. A Kindle would be an awesome way to keep busy and awake. I would also share it with the rest of my family who I know would enjoy it when I am not working.

  43. I would love a kindle to keep all my downloaded books on my computer in one place. I would love to be able to put it in my purse and take my books everywhere. The idea of a kindle makes me happy if I was to have one of my own. I can imagine myself getting all my books organized and being able to read it snuggled up in the evening with my dogs cuddled beside me.

  44. Thank you for the opportunity to win a Kindle. I recently got an iPad and promised my mom my kindle. But I can’t seem to part with it! I play Gin Rummy everynight before bed and I have a monopoly game on it that I love (even though I can’t get it off the London version). Then, we had the hurricane this week and I read a few books on the Kindle. Now I can’t live without it. So, when I win this Kindle I solemly promise to give it to my mom for Chanukah! Really, I will and she will love it as much as me! I taught her to use it and the funny part it that (she is 78 years old) she put the font so big that she read like thousands of pages!! Thank you so much for the opportunity! Donna

First off I really would like to thank Andrea for providing this give away! That is a really nice thing to do and surprising. So THANK YOU ANDREA!!!
I’d like to win this Kindle because I have very little income and can’t afford to spend any on such a cool item. I mainly read paper books but so many of my authors are making books and short stories in just ebook formats that I find myself stuck in front of a huge computer trying to read these so I am not missing something. I’d love to have a Kindle to download them to so that I can read them in bed, my favortie place to read!

  46. if I won this, my kids would share it and be able to download so many more books from the library!!! My daughter especially would be in heaven.

  47. michelle riebeek says:

Reading is a big part of her routine ( as well as playing cards, going shopping, and entertaining her family) She is one special lady and the kindle is the perfect gift for her.

  64. Kelly King says:

First of all I’d like to say thank you for such an awesome contest! I’d love for “Santa” to bring this for my family this year, since we all love to read and our house is slowly being taken over by books. We do go to the library to borrow books weekly, but love to read some things over and over, so we wind up buying them anyway and now we’re bursting at the seams! It would be wonderful to have a compact place to be able to read our books and store them as well. And it’s a total bonus that there is no having to run to a bunch of different stores to find the book you’re looking for when you have an e-reader. We would be so very appreciative to be given the gift of reading for Christmas. Thank you so much for the opportunity.

  65. I would love to be able to spoil my daughter! She has been asking for a Kindle for awhile now.

  66. This would be perfect for my niece for Christmas. She loves to read and would really enjoy this. Thank you for the chance!

I would love to have a Kindle because I read so much. I could have so many books with me wherever I go. My husband goes on golf vacations, but I do not golf so I stay at resorts and read in my room or by the pool, etc…usually for 4-5 hours at a time. I have a kindle reader on my desktop computer but cannot carry it around with me. I have tons of books I’ve gotten through Amazon and read them at home on the computer. I realy do want a Kindle! Thanks for the opportunity!

  71. Over the past 2 years I have been minimizing. I still have quite a ways to go and one of the biggest problem areas is “books”. I have four bookshelf units absolutely filled with books, plus I have a lot of books that aren’t even on the bookshelves. Utilizing a Kindle for future books would help me in my desire to own less stuff. Afterall, owning less stuff, does not mean that I cannot continue to read as often as I can. I would love to win this Kindle and see if it will assist in my goal to minimize my belongings…

  72. I would love to win a kindle because I love reading books and magazines and it would allow me to take all the reading materials I want without the heavy load. I signed up for digital magazine and could only read them on my computer not that exciting. Thank you for the chance to enter your awesome giveaway!!! Also I would be sharing it with my sister if I won and it would make my commute to work less boring.

  73. Kindles are great for those of us who’s eyesight isn’t what it used to be. It’s nice to be able to make fonts bigger and see pics bigger. Also nice is being able to tuck the biggest of books into a little purse. Mil Gracias for the great giveaway.

  74. I would really love to win this kindle for my mom she is 80 and loves to read but its difficult for her to keep buying books . she knows there are a whole lot of books free on amazon for kindle and she really wants one I hope I win this for her so she can do more reading in the years she has left

  75. Kindles are awesome!

  76. My daughter reads all the time, I can;t think of a nicer gift to give her then a Kindle. It would make her a special Christmas as she has been struggling a long time. I thank you for offering such a nice prize.

  77. I travel a bit. Having to many hardcover or paperback books weigh a ton. I have weight restriction for luggage including carry on’s. Clothes and shoes are important for extended stay’s. However books on language, customs, historical locations and must see’s place’s are pretty essential. I have most books in electronic form. I have them saved to disc so I can use them on my laptop. I have yet to own a kindle or tablet for that matter. I do find them to be a highly useful tool’s when it come’s to portability and convenience. Thousands of books to reference in the palm of your hand. Keep in mind some places I have traveled to frown on certain books and the internet service is also highly restricted making it difficult to do a simple inquiry via the web. Therefore books and the information contained in them are vital when exploring the world on your own.

  78. I would love to win a kindle for my parents! They have been RVing now for about 3 years and travel everywhere! The thing is, they love to read and living in an RV they are super short on space! This would be perfect solution to that and an unbelievable gift that I could give them! Thanks so much for the chance!

First of all, thank you, Andrea Pearson for offering this great giveaway. I would love to give this as a gift to my mother, whom has always so selflessly given and never gotten anything in return. She likes to read those romance novels, although they are not my cup of tea, this gift would be a huge surprise to her.

  84. Lisa McGrattan says:

I hate to sound selfish but I would love to win this one for me. I don’t always have time to run to the library and check out books I would like to read and with the kindle I can down load them and read them as I want too. Not only that but it’s small like a book and easy to take with me out to events that my children attend, such as karate. With winter here (at least the threat here in ohio) it would be wonderful to snuggle down in my bed and read a great story.

  85. I usually ride the bus to and from work and I always have a book to read. I’ve been meaning to get a kindle to read during the ride. It would be great. Thanks for the giveaway.

Thank you for offering such a great giveaway. The concept of e-readers has changed my life. I’ve always been the type to want to read more than one book at a time. 90. I have been dying for a Kindle and getting 5 eBooks to get me started is just a bonus!! Unfortunately if I were to win I wouldn’t be able to keep this all to myself, my son would be stealing it all the time. I guess since he’s so into reading I should be grateful that he even wants to do it and share the Kindle with him since most kids now days could care less about reading. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win!!

  91. Thanks Andrea Pearson for this amazing prize! I’ve heard good things about your books, and I really hope I get the chance to read them on a Kindle! With the Kindle, I could take my books with me to class and on the bus. Thanks!

  92. I would like to win a Kindle for my 80 year old mother. She took care of me growing up and now I try to do whatever I can in return. She asked me about such a device a couple of weeks ago as she was interested in downloading some reading material. She has fybromyalgia, arthritis and bulging discs in her back so she is in bed alot. This would be wonderful for her to use. Thank you.

  93. Thank you Andrea Pearson! What a great giveaway.
A Kindle would make a great Christmas present for my fiance. He loves gadgets and it doesn’t get any bigger or better of a gadget than this one! A Kindle would be very useful for reading eBooks on and I would be fascinated to see how it compares to a regular book. It would be nice to have something portable because my fiance and I both work on computers all day so I kind of don’t want to hunch over my computer some more after work to read ebooks, haha! Plus there’s all the other features, like games. So fun!

  94. The Kindle Fire would be the gift for the entire family. My son would use it to read books and play games and my daughter would use it for hours on end, reading one vampire book after another. I would use the Kindle Fire when everyone else went to bed!

  95. I have wanted a Kindle since they first came out. I’ve already gotten rid of most of my books, because I didn’t have room to store them, so this would be a great gift for myself. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  96. I would like to win a Kindle so that I could give it to my granddaughter for her birthday–she is often wanting to borrow mine, and since I keep it available so that I always have something to read while in various waiting situations, that really doesn’t work very well. Since more and more books (and textbooks) are becoming available from libraries in ebook format, it definitely broadens the books available to read without having to make a trip to the library or spending the money to buy a book that you might want to read but not keep.

  97. Susan Smith says:

I have wanted a Kindle since they frist came out. I read a lot and lugging my book around to appointments and when I travel can be a pain. Having a Kindle would come in handy when I’m waiting in line at school for my children, I can just carry it in my purse and whip it our and read a few pages. Buying ebooks are mosre affordable than buying paperbooks so I would save money too, It would help me finish books as sometimes I start a book and don’t have time to finish it before it’s due. Thanks for the giveaway.

  98. Danielle F. says:

It’s funny, because the day AFTER the kindle fire was on sale on Amazon I finally decided I would like to have one. I love how you can decide that you want to read a book and not have to go to the library to check it out. Especially in the cold months where it just plain sucks to go outside. I have a lot of downtown during the Christmas break because I’m a teacher and would absolutely LOVE to have this to help rid stress while being home over the holidays.

  99. mary reynolds says:

Thank you, Andrea Pearson, for this giveaway. This is so awesome! I would love to win this for my daughter. She is dyslexic and reading helps her immensely. I’m sure she would rather read from a Kindle than actual books lol. With the cold weather coming (off & on), this would be great for when she can’t go play outside with her friends.

Thank you to all the sponsors as well!! :)

  103. I think it would make a nice family gift. We don’t have one and have been wanting to try one.

  104. I have failing health, with more than 30 diagnoses. This means time alone at home or in the hospital. I can’t afford a TV, and reading books has become increasingly difficult because I am allergic to the toner/ink in the print on the pages. This would be a blessing.
