Sweeten Up Dessert Time with a White Chocolate Blondie Recipe

My hubby is a white chocolate fiend.  Anything that has white chocolate in it, he’s going to love.  But here’s the problem – most of the dessert items that come in boxes are regular chocolate, not white.  So over the past few months I’ve been experimenting with different dessert options to find one that I was sure he would love.  And earlier this week I hit the nail on the head with an easy, from scratch white chocolate blondie.  Now, for those of you who aren’t familiar with blondies, the are kinda like brownies – except white!  They are super yummy and a perfect sweet treat!  Here’s how you can make them!

What You Will Need

1/2 Cup of Butter

8 Ounces of White Chocolate (2 Large Bars)

1 and 1/4 Cups of Flour

1 Stick of Butter

1/3 Cup of Sugar

2 Eggs

1 Tablespoon of Clear Vanilla Extract

3/4 Teaspoons of Salt

1 Cup of White Chocolate Chips

How to Make Them

Start by greasing your 8 by 13 inch pan.  Then cut up your butter and break up your chocolate bars and melt them together.  It’s great if you have a double broiler for this but if not, just a pot on the stove on low works fine too.

In a bowl, beat together your eggs and sugar until they are smooth.  Mix in your vanilla and melted chocolate/butter mixture and mix well.  Then slowly add in your flour and salt, mixing in a little at a time.  Once your mixture is well combined and looks about the consistency of cake mix, mix in your cup of white chocolate chips using a large spoon (don’t use the blender as it will crush the chocolate chips).

Pour your mixture into your greased pan and let it settle so that it is even.

Bake your blondies for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the middle.

Once your blondies have cooled sightly, serve them warm topped with vanilla ice cream!  It’s a yummy treat that the whole family is sure to love!
