Spring is in the air. While I know we’ve technically got a little over a week before we’re Spring official, around my part of the woods the flowers are blooming and the weather is gorgeous. With temperature resting in the 70’s most days, all I want to do is throw open my windows, listen to the birds and of course do a little entertaining on the porch. As I was recently putting together some ideas for a gathering that’s quickly approaching, I knew that I wanted flowers everywhere. I wanted them in vases, surrounding the porch area and I also wanted to incorporate them into a delicious option that I knew all of my guests would love. After taking stock of my pantry and realizing that time was not on my side, I decided to test my hand at some simple chocolate Spring Flower Pops.
These adorable Spring Flower Pops only take three ingredients and honestly, if you can make a squigly line, you can make these! To start, I gathering my ingredients.
What You Will Need:
Candy Melts in Spring Colors
Candy Coated Chocolate Rounds
How to Make It:
To start my Chocolate Spring Flower Pops, I laid out a piece of parchment paper on my counter and then poured my candy melts into bowls.
After heating each of my bowls of candy melts until they were melted (about a minute in the microwave), I added them to piping bags with a small round tip. Then creating my flowers was as simple as starting in the middle with a five petaled small flower and adding squiggles around it until I had created a beautiful flower.
As soon as my flower was piped, I added an additional dot of chocolate to the middle and gently pressed one of my candy coated chocolate rounds into it.
Now came the patience part! I let each flower dry completely. Once they were dry, I very gently peeled them off of the parchment paper and turned them over. Then I used a little more of my candy melts to secure a lollipop stick onto the back of each one.
After letting the chocolate harden to keep the lollipop stick in place, my simple chocolate Spring Flower Pops were complete! Now I just needed the perfect way to display and serve them. I quickly found a clean cup and filled it with the remainder of my candy coated chocolate rounds to add a little color. then I arranged my Spring Flower Pops in the cup, almost treating them like an actual flower arrangement.
I have to say, it was a perfect touch for a Spring gathering and the fact that the centerpieces for my tables were edible was such a fun bonus!
I love how these Spring Flower Pops turned out and I’m planning to use them a lot in the coming months…both at home and at school gatherings. I just think they are the cutest way to add some Spring color in an edible form that every one is sure to love!
