During the summer months, I’m always looking for a delicious way to cool down. My family literally asks for ice cream daily and I’m always on the lookout for yummy flavor combinations that combine the tastes of summer in a refreshing way. Recently, I’ve been adding mango to literally everything that we eat because of it’s perfect summer flavor and recently, I decided to add it to my favorite ice cream recipe to make easy and delicious no-churn Strawberry Mango Swirl Ice Cream!
While I do have an ice cream maker, I’ll admit that I’m a little impatient when it comes to cooling my bases and honestly, I love to use fruit anywhere I can in the place of other ingredients. For years, I’ve used frozen fruit, condensed milk and fresh whipped cream to create delicious no-churn ice cream recipes. However, I’ve generally stuck to one flavor. But this year I really mixed things up by swirling together our summer staple of strawberry ice cream with deliciously tart mango ice cream to create a truly spectacular treat!
What You Will Need
1 Cups of Frozen Stawberries
1 Cup of Frozen Mango Chunks
1 and 1/2 (14 Ounce) Cans of Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 Cups of Heavy Whipping Cream
How to Make It
This no-churn Strawberry Mango Swirl Ice Cream is so easy to make and honestly, it’s a perfect summer treat! To start, I added my frozen strawberries and one can of sweetened condensed milk to my blender and blended it all together until it was an even consistency.
Next, I whipped two cups of heavy cream in my mixer until it was a thick and fluffy consistency. Once my whipped cream was ready, I mixed it into my prepared strawberry mixture and set it aside.
After rinsing out my blender, I added my mango chunks and half of a can of sweetened condensed milk to my blender and combined it until it was creamy. With both my strawberry and mango flavors created, I was ready to assemble my no-churn Strawberry Mango Swirl Ice Cream. I quickly pulled out a metal bread pan (I find they are perfect for freezing ice cream) and poured in a little of my strawberry base and then added large spoonfuls of the mango mixture to the top of it.
I continued layering the strawberry and mango flavors together until my metal container was full. Then I used a knife to gently swirl together the flavors on the top, creating a beautiful finish to my Strawberry Mango Swirl Ice Cream.
After freezing my ice cream for about five hours, it was hardened to the perfect consistency and ready to serve.
I was able to grab my ice cream scoop and some cones and within seconds I had beautiful and perfectly delicious cones of No-Churn Strawberry Mango Swirl Ice Cream.
This perfect summer treat boasts great flavors and the creaminess that my family loves in an easy to make recipe that is always adored! Be sure to whip yours up today and enjoy it during the warm summer afternoons when nothing but the perfectly flavored ice cream cone will do!
