I think it goes without saying that one of my goals as a mom is to cook more at home and serve up amazing meals to my family. But I’ll admit, the same old things gets boring. The kids begin to complain. The hubs starts asking when we’re going to mix things up for dinner. And I find myself dreading heading to the kitchen to come up with a meal. So, recently I’ve been trying to mix things up. While we still eat a lot of chicken and fish, I’ve been adding more pork to our meal plan and one of my favorite ways to serve it is these Honey Garlic Pork Chops!
What You Will Need:
4 Bone-In Pork Chops
1/3 Cup of Honey
1/4 Cup of Lemon Juice
2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic
How to Make It:
This easy weeknight meal is totally impressive and so satisfying and has just the right amount of sweetness to really make it a family favorite! To start my Honey Garlic Pork Chops, I need to prepare my marinade. This very basic marinade is made by simply stirring together my honey, lemon juice, soy sauce and garlic in a small bowl.
Once my marinade for my Honey Garlic Pork Chops is made, I place my pork chops in a large skillet and season them with salt and pepper.
Next, I turn my burner on to medium-high heat and brown each side for just long enough to cook the pork through completely….about four to six minutes per side.
Right before my pork is completely cooked, I grab my honey garlic marinade and pour it over the top of the pork chops.
One to two minutes more of cooking time on each side to bake in the delicious honey garlic flavor and ensure my pork is completely cooked and my Honey Garlic Pork Chops are ready to serve!
This easy dish is simple enough to whip up any night of the week and delicious enough to serve up even at dinner parties! Plus with it’s cast iron skillet presentation, it’s a rustically delicious meal that we just can’t get enough of! Serve it up with a side of rice and a salad and you’ve got a meal that’s sure to impress!
