With the cooler weather moving in, I’m finding myself whipping up more warm noodles dishes to serve to my family. While I have tons of tried and true recipe that I like to keep in my meal planning rotation, I’m also mixing things up and creating new and unexpected dishes that thrill my family’s tastebuds. As I told you last month, a staple in my home for creating easy noodle dishes is No Yolks Egg Noodles! In fact, just the other day, I used these versatile noodles to whip up some Simply Spicy Thai Noodles that are absolutely amazing!
I’ve been eating No Yolks Egg Noodles for as long as I can remember. They were a staple in my mamas kitchen for dishes like stroganoff and casseroles but as I’ve added them to my own kitchen, I’ve discovered that they are so versatile and can be used for so many different dishes and even soups like Miso and French Onion! By using No Yolks Egg Noodles to create out-of-the-box recipes, I’m finding even more fun ways to incorporate these noodles that are a healthy egg noodle alternative made from egg whites with no cholesterol into my weekly meal plan! Since they are also low in fat and sodium and always cook up smooth, firm and fluffy and stay that way (even when refrigerated) they are absolutely perfect for fitting into my family’s dietary needs! I’ve found all types of unexpected recipes using these noodles including Sriracha Cheesy Noodles and Noodles with Kale and Pesto! I’ve even discovered that they are perfect when mixed with fresh veggies and chicken for a quick and healthy meal. In fact, I haven’t found a noodle dish yet that No Yolks Egg Noodles aren’t perfect for but my recent noodle creation has got to be one of my favorites!
What You Will Need
1 Package of Broad No Yolks Egg Noodles
2 Cups of Matchstick Carrots
2 Cups of Frozen Peas
1 Teaspoon of Olive Oil
3 Tablespoons of Pad Thai Sauce
1 Teaspoon of Sriracha
Crushed Peanuts and Green Onions (for Garnish)
How to Make It
This easy to make dish that delivers big flavors starts with, of course, the No Yolks Egg Noodles! To start the dish I simply prepared my egg noodles according the the directions on the package and then drained them.
Once they were drained, I added my olive oil, carrots and peas to a saute pan over medium heat and cooked them just until they were crisp.
As soon as my veggies were crisp, I added in my cooked No Yolks Egg Noodles, my pad thai seasoning and my sriracha sauce. After stirring it all together, I let it continue to simmer on low heat for about three minutes.
After removing my Simple Spicy Thai Noodles from the heat, I transferred them to a serving dish and topped them with crushed peanuts and diced green onions.
Not only did this dish look amazing but it tasted amazing as well! With a little bit of sweet, a little bit of spicy and a little bit of freshness in each bite of the perfectly fluffy No Yolks Egg Noodles, I was able to deliver the perfect dinner that satisfies everyone!
This versatile dish can be created as is or by adding a simple protein like chicken, shrimp or steak and is always a hit in my home! It’s an out-of-the-box noodle idea that my family absolutely adores, thanks to the always loved taste of No Yolks Egg Noodles!
